Summary: I compiled resources from across the Compass Education community and designed a downloadable, replicable resource to help K12 educators integrate climate change into their curricula.
Project Overview
To develop a resource that would highlight the array of ways that the Sustainability Compass tool could be used by K12 educators to integrate climate change education into their existing curriculum, rather than as an ‘add-on’ or extra. The format had to be openly accessible and replicable to other topics.
The Goal
The Learning Experience
A downloadable lesson idea pack including a rational, lesson ieas, and resources that teachers across K12 could use as a starting piont for bringing climate change related conversations into their curriculum, published via a blog post.
A resource that has been shared and used at conferences, events, and in classrooms around the world.
Two additional resource packs were created using the same format, exploring other topics.
