The S.U.S.T.A.I.N. Model
A framework for learning design that creates systems change
Creating a powerful learning experience takes intention, reflection, and innovation. The S.U.S.T.A.I.N. Model is a seven-stage learning design framework that helps you create learning experiences that naturally align with your organizational goals and enhance your impact. It draws inspiration from systems thinking and the principles of feedback found in nature, guiding you through every stage of the design process with purpose.
The S.U.S.T.A.I.N. Model is designed to ensure education helps learners both know about a problem and have the tools to address it.
The 7 S.U.S.T.A.I.N.Stages
The S.U.S.T.A.I.N. Model is an iterative cycle, rooted in the same principles of feedback and renewal found in nature. Programs can re-enter at any point to deepen the work, respond to new learning, or build on what is already going well.

Clarifying a Path Forward
This process allows us to help you define or refine educational experiences rooted in your theory of change. We can help you get started through:
Or guide you through the whole process as part of a larger:
Community of Practice
We are planning a pilot of the SUSTAIN cohort: an 8-week guided course that will help you design or update a specific learning experience to encourage systems change.
